WHAT IS SANA? Salud/Health                                                   We address the healthcare needs of the children in rural Guatemala. Nutrición/Nutrition We address chronic and acute malnutrition in children in the rural areas.

Ambiente/Environment We ensure that people have access to potable water and that the natural resources of Guatemala are preserved. Acceso a la Educación/Access To Education We ensure that all children receive a proper education.

MISSION STATEMENT: Guatemala SANA (healthy Guatemala) is a project developed by Dr. Rafael Espada to improve the quality of life for the millions of rural children in Guatemala who do not have clean water, food to eat, or the opportunity to receive an education. Our concept is to integrate basic health care, nutrition and education in a centralized location within the town.
